Which can be found over at the Greyhawk Grognard Blog

http://greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.com/2008/10/castle-zagyg-original-release-plans.html

While I suppose linking in any old mega dungeon would be doable with the Upper Works, the relase plans provide those who are interested in making a sort of road map or out line to make their own version of the mega dungeon.

Even as I'm writing this, I wonder if it wouldn't be worth while to try to run a contest of sorts for this. A sort of Castle Zagyg Tribute where the entries use the original plans to create a level or part of a level, with a side profile and connectors to the the levels above and below (or deeper). That way you'd get huge fan input and as it is only a portion of the level, a quick GM/CK could put it all together in a giant PDF for everyone to use. I left it there and it was gone a few days later. I don't know how many copies *that* store had but given their usual ordering habits, I don't think it was more than 2 or 3 and could have just been the one given that it was for C&C.

I remember that I only got my set when we were into December as well.Moriarty777https://www.blogger.com/profile/04797377840611728458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5513491029167099688.post-11809877822088803242012-11-05T21:15:10.669-05:002012-11-05T21:15:10.669-05:00Not sure why your local game store had a problem g...Not sure why your local game store had a problem getting these sets of Upper Works in stock. The actual demand at the time of the release was much less than the supply and the sets were continually being discounted by online retailers. The last price I saw for an Upper Works boxed set that year was down to $17.95

The demand and high prices began about 6 months later in June of the following year and since that time the limited number of sets that survived (I've heard between 500 and 750) have kept going up and up in price.Jason Zavodahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109502376214104276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5513491029167099688.post-47722859069475380752012-11-05T19:43:43.868-05:002012-11-05T19:43:43.868-05:00I have yet another version in the upper level dung...I have yet another version in the upper level dungeons released at the end of Living Greyhawk to augmenet the "Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk book". Sort of filled the hole left the book in making the upper levels up. Good 1-4 level adventures I ran with My nephews but perhaps nothing to do with the Gygax version. Just another Unicorn to chase.

P.S. there is also grodog's Castle Greyhawk at http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/gh_castle_grodog.html
based grodog's interpretation of published sources about the orignal but with considerable license.imredavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11791259426241403181noreply@blogger.com
